nothing sophisticated. just connect, follow procedure outlined by the manufacturer of your vehicle, and point and shoot. make your adjustment and your done. its’ a tool not used very often anymore with electronic ignition. so unless you work on vintage cars and trucks you won’t be using it very often. so don’t buy an expensive model. keep it simple.

This timing light is very simple to operate and worked great.Exact same light was $49.95 at my local Autozone store.I would highly recommend this light purchased from Amazon.com
